You are confusing PS4 did 271k in NPD January... VGC shows 279k for PS4 in January... same numbers.
You need to check your numbers again.
PS4: 2,361k - 2,080k = 279k.
VGC & NPD for PS4 = Spot
VGC & NPD for Xbone = Overtracked
