So Cities in Motion 2 did give you a few cool options. You could build extra roads with a pretty versitile road tool that wasn't that much of a pain to use and buildings would appear on the roads that you had built, though there were no zoning options.
But I just found the game so much more of a hassle to play than the first one and it didn't run very well (in spite of plenty of power). I just never got into it
It's hard to get the right amount of depth and usability.
