could be many a thing but here's some things to try
1. WEP kep - have you entered one, if yes ensure it's exactly 10 characters and only uses letters a thriugh to F (example ABBAFABBAF works very well).
2. Have you run the setup program that came with the dongle - this will ensure things like enable other computers to access the internet is selected.
3. Have you attempted to find settings automatically or entered them manually? I couldn't get automatic to work and got the manual to work.
4. Have you entered the MAc address in the software on the pc for the dongle? this is a list of trused sources that the software will allow access.
if none of these work then open the software and attempt the connection - there should be a list of mac addresses of devices attempting to connect, if it appears you know it's a security issue - if it doesn't it's not finding the connection at all.
