Race doesn't exist biologically (or as most anthropologists say).  However, in our society's minds (and in many of our minds) it does.  However, there aren't set parameters that actually divide the "races" people talk about.  Someone who's "black" doesn't have a black gene, just like a person who's white doesn't have a "white" gene (or pretty much any other "race" you could think of).  

How you interpret this depends on you, but defining race for humans is always going to have holes in it.
