The point of this thread is to sort of figure out what Nintendo needs to do to get "gamers" on board with the Wii U. I know that a lot of people think that the answer is 3rd party support, but I don't think so. Anyone who wants a third party game would probably rather have the better looking version on any one of the systems. So what can Nintendo do to improve itself? |
Well, if Mario Kart 8 turns out good (which I imagine it will), announce a new Metroid Prime and a Zelda with more realistic graphics (like Twilight Princess) then I might be tempted at the right price. But price is a big hurdle, as the controller will always inflate the price and having used it, it added nothing I liked to the games I played and was awkward to use.
But, release a cheaper model without the controller and the 3 games I mentioned, I would be back in a flash!
EDIT: though I would definitly buy one if the above scenario came true, unless they kept good support for it I could see myself selling it again once I completed those. I know Nintendo have the ability to produce top class games, you wont find better first party titles anywhere else. But they need to speed up the process to get those type of games into our hands, Its not good having to wait over 6 months between getting those top games
The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.
