You still cannot buy metroid fusion on 3ds DESPITE that it is in the ambassador program.

There's a reason for that. Metroid Fusion will NEVER be on the 3DS. Nintendo promised it. The 10 GBA games given to the 3DS early adopters were AMBASSADOR EXCLUSIVE. If Nintendo dared to put Metroid Fusion on 3DS, heads would roll, and I'd be doing the decapitating. I paid $80 to get those games exclusive to me on 3DS, you're just gonna have to go buy a Wii U if you want virtual console Metroid Fusion.

the majority of ambassadors don't care about exclusivity. You got a bunch of free games years before anyone else could get them...Nintendo should release ambassador games on 3DS. Way more people would be happy about that than the opposite and if you are honestly whining that other people can play games that you can play...well I pity you for your pettiness >.>

EDIT: I will say theprof is overreacting though...chill out man @.@ I want to play these games as much as the next guy but you are getting a little too worked up about old games...

They made a promise though. If they'd just said "Hey, here's 20 free games" I'd be fine, but I'd much rather just have $80 in eShop money to buy the games I want, and they just put those games on there. Instead they said, "Hey, here's 10 free NES games that everyone can get, and here's 10 free GBA games that we made just for YOU! They'll never be in the 3DS eShop, they're our special gift." I don't think I'm being petty, I just think I hold people to their promises. My issue isn't that I want to be the only one to play these games, I mean come on, you can get the games elsewhere, it's not THAT special. My issue would be if they SAID it would be one way, then went back on their word. But wait, they didn't! Yay! So I'm not whining, just saying that a company should live up to its word, which Nintendo is. Yay Nintendo, being trustworthy! They'll still release GBA games to the virtual console, no need for anyone to get worked up. They're working on it right now. What I'd like to see, and will nag them about, is the Gamecube games. Where are they? Please Nintendo! Don't you want my money?

Here is the quote from their Press Release

Starting Sept. 1, Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors will be able to download 10 NES™ Virtual Console™ games at no charge and before they are available in the Nintendo eShop to the general public. These games, including Super Mario Bros.™, Donkey Kong Jr.™, Balloon Fight™, Ice Climber™ and The Legend of Zelda™, are slated to become paid downloadable games, but Ambassadors get them early for free. Once the paid versions of the games are posted to the Nintendo eShop later in the year, the updated versions will be available to Ambassadors for download at no cost.

By the end of 2011, Nintendo will provide Ambassadors with 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games. These include games like Yoshi's Island™: Super Mario™ Advance 3, Mario Kart™: Super Circuit, Metroid™ Fusion, WarioWare™, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ and Mario vs. Donkey Kong™. These games will be available exclusively to Ambassadors, and Nintendo currently has no plans to make these 10 games available to the general public on the Nintendo 3DS in the future.

They said they "currently [have] no plans to make these 10 games available"...not, "we promise they will be exclusive forever"........so yeah >.> I'd say your overreacting.

EDIT: As you can see, Nintendo left the possiblity open to release these games in the future...just wanted to make that clear. Nintendo wouldn't be breaking any promises...

Alright fine, be nitpicky about the exact wording. I mostly just said heads will roll for humorous effect. But I would be a little peeved. I wouldn't overreact that much, but come on, if Nintendo says they're exclusive to Ambassadors, they should be just that. Not like I'm gonna start a petition. If you think it's not a big deal, then why are you making such a big deal out of my caring a bit about it? Do you feel the need to defend Nintendo from me? Over a nonexistent, hypothetical, hyperbolic threat? Who do you think you are that you have to tell me how to feel, my therapist? No, if Nintendo did this, I wouldn't cry out to the heavens "Why hath thou forsaken me Nintendo!" I'd just be peeved. Seriously, if you had a friend that did this, would you argue with him for hours why he shouldn't be peeved, and be that upset that he dare not agree with you that it's nothing to be peeved about? Would you forever see him differently as some pathetic whiner because he made a passing complaint? You're overreacting on the internet. I really had no idea that my passing remark about Nintendo's promise that I made simply to illustrate that they have their own reasons why they release the games they do when they do, would turn into a massive flame war like this. I am sorry I said anything. Jesus Christ. Let it go people.
