For me, if I didn't already own a Wii U, I'd probably wait for Zelda for Wii U, 3D Mario, or Metroid for Wii U. (Whichever came first) By that time we'd have:

The price was never an issue to me. I only had a Wii last gen (I was barely even a casual gamer last gen) so when the HD Wii U came out, I just needed a game I wanted to play. That's what I did with my 3DS. I never buy Nintendo handhelds until they reveal it's first Pokemon game. Once I had it, I was actually playing catch up lol.
