I agree that Nintendo should not bring new games to mobile and must keep their quality games on console and definitely agree they shouldn't sell their souls and go for micro-transactions, but I don't see any reason not to release the Virtual Console on mobile.
There's probably plenty of people that still want to play the old classics so there's easy money and if they'd include that viral advertising in there for their new games on consoles, they'd also achieve their goal of using smart devices as a way to 'lure' people back towards dedicated gaming machines. Because there will be people that do that. In the perfect world you'd naturally be able to log in with your NNID on your smart device and purchases on mobile are also transferred to any other device that's connected with this NNID and vice versa.
