What is it that makes this game appear so good or even amazing then? I will also say that the setting has real potential; I'm somewhat obsessed with victorian London, such atmosphere and a fascinating mix of grime and muck and upper class. |
Well while I do not feel you are wrong in what you are saying I guess I just look at ti differently.
Like my thoughts...maybe they didn't show much gameplay because they are trying to keep it under wraps until they are ready to show what the game will play like. Also while the game(gameplay wise from the extremely little we have seen anyway) doesn't look any different from what we have seens o far why is that a bad thing? We have had some AMAZING games that have played VERY WELL. So as long as this one runs just as well and plays just as smoothyl if not better then I guess I don't see a problem with it.
QTEs are personal preference of course I like QTEs myself and find them engrossing and rewarding. Others don't...can't plese everyone. Though we don't know how many QTEs there will be so can't really speak on that much yet.
Lastly you said in another post that it looks boxed in and liner. Well we have seen nowhere near enough of it to make that assumption just yet. Though it was said that you will have different ways to appraoch situations so that gives it a sort of freedom to it. And to be honest other than really open-world sandbox games almost ALL games are "linear" to an extent so I never really understood the complaint about games being linear. If that is the approach and take on teh game then what's wrong with it?
But again not saying that you are wrong in anyway just saying I look at it differntly. And more than anything I am excited about teh story, setting and characters...they look very interesting.
