So, you say using a different architecture isn't innovation, it's hindering 3rd party support... Did you feel that way about the cell processor?

Tell me, what has Sony or MS given back to you as a gamer that Nintendo hasn't?

Essentially, more evolved consoles and games and far larger game catalogues (I'm including 3rd parties and excluding shovelware).

If you don't like Nintendo games, I imagine you would feel they gave nothing back. But I feel Nintendo has contributed a lot for the gamers, just as much as the others if not more. That is my opinion, but under your logic it equals to a FACT.

No no, it's not about my opinion. Everything that Nintendo has produced is actually giving back. I'm not taking into account my tastes. I don't talk about good or bad. I talk about more or less evolved, larger or smaller, anything that can be measurable. Whether I like Nintendo games has no relevance at all.

What about Sony's proprietary memory cards?... like the ones for Vita, I'm sure you loved those. Or how about their mini disc format. Or their Beta vcr ? I guess all those products that sony makes are the best for everyone! right? Yep Sony only gives back to the people. FACT

Proprietary memory cards are a bad thing. Mini-disc format for what? PSP? Vita? Portables haven't enough size to have CD/DVD/BR. Betamax was just an attempt to set the standard (like VHS, CD, DVD, Blu-ray), I can't criticize them for that.

Nevertheless, Sony Game Division has given back as much as it has taken (see the profits history). And that's a fact. Whether you like or not the products that come from the money they've invested, just already your opinion.

You are wrong, not everyone views the gamepad as a gimmick, you want proof then do a little reading in the forums. It has great functionality, I wish all three systems had a second screen. FACT

Gimmick - "a special feature for the sake of having a special feature"

It's not about whether it's appreciated or not by the gamers. Nintendo without the WiiU gamepad had no strategy for the 8th gen. They have introduced a special feature for the sake of having a special feature.
