I'm at the last boss and wow it's hard.
The game is awesome, my only complain would be the frame rate. The story is amazing (especially at the last couple of hours), the music and the graphics are top-notch. The funny thing is i got the game without expecting much and turns out it's my favourite FF and one of the best games i've played on the DS. Truly magnificent game, love it.
PS: You should try the multiplayer if you have a friend who owns the game, it's really great.
