Sure they can, if the game supports stereoscopic 3D. Just connect the consoles with an autostereoscopic tv:

But I prefer 3D-TVs with polarisation... much cheaper and the glasses are so light, you forget wearing them after a few seconds. If you already have to wear glasses, a polarized clip-on is even less intrusive.
