Nintendo making over Million Wii's a month

I watched in some Gametrailers video that Nintendo is making over 1 million Wii's a month. If I remember correctly it was close to 2 million. My question is if they are really making that many consoles a month why is it still sold out? The Wii's arnt even selling one million a month. Are they holding back consoles for some reason?
