I was thinking about getting Rayman Legends for PS4 the other day. It's in the store for 40 €, that's 30 € less than most other games. But then I thought, man, it's only a platformer. So I asked myself kinda the same question as the OP? My answer? I simply do not know. I didn't buy Rayman, so in that moment it was a no for me. But it could very well be that I have a hell lot of fun with Rayman. Maybe I'll get it sometime...
Overall, for me personal, pure Platformers aren't very appealing as a full priced game. I like the games you can get for 15 € digitally, but 40 € or even 60 € as in the OP? Man, that's a lot to ask for for such kind of game. Then again, I never regretted spending 150 DM (~75 €) for Donkey Kong Country. It was a blast to play and still is until today.
