I am so tired of devs and gamers alike saying gameplay>graphics to justify lower res and framerate.

Those two fall under the performance category, not really the graphics one. If these people truly believed what they were saying, witcher 3 would run at 1080p 60fps but with the visuals of a PS2 game.

What CD projekt RED really believe is graphics>performance. There's nothing wrong with it, but I fudging hate how no one ever just says that. Instead they pull the trash in the op and get reactions like "A sentiment that any true gamer should agree with."

It's as if they want us to give them a medal cause the game can't hit 1080p.

Well said. If gameplay matters most, reduce the visual effects and deliver a smooth running, clearly visible game.
What do god rays and motion blur add to gameplay that resolution and frame rate do not?

The mentality of publishers is screenshots first. They don't depend on frame rate, can be rendered at 4k on dev kits and scaled down for previews.

That's all about gameplay right, hypocrits.
