Well my experience with it hasn't been so glowing. And it SHOULD be better than an eight year old console.

Better than an 8 year old console?! It's Netflix.  What do you want?  More movies?  It's got the same layout as most other devices (and I use Netflix on a LOT of different devices--3DS, Smart TV, 360, PS3, phone, tablet, laptop, Wii, Wii U) except that you can jump into it from TVii and it has info on the pad while you watch the movie--or you can watch it on the pad.  Only 360 has a different layout from what I've seen.

What happened when you watched it on Wii U?
