The PS2 sold 600k in two days, but Sony had orders of over 900k that they couldn't fulfill yet. So they technically sold over 900k, but shipped 600k. 

Aw that explains it. So its 630k, but it was spinned to 980k. Sony should have done that with the western launches lol. "While only a million gamers actually have a PS4, we did collect some money from unfulfilled per-orders making it effectively sell 1.3 million"
