It will take more than games. Every console has games. Every console has exclusives. The Wii U isn't the only console to get Nintendo franchises on. What it needs is something unique. A must have killer app that revolutionizes things. Take that rumored Mario Kart 8 track editor. Imagine, if you will, that this track editor was not only real, but was as in depth as say, Little Big Planet Karting, but Mario themed, and allowed you to post the tracks online for anyone to rate and play. THAT would save the Wii U. But it probably won't happen like that. Of course, that's not the only way Nintendo could save the Wii U. There are other possibilities for killer apps. What the Wii U has going for it, unlike the Vita, is that Nintendo HAS to support it. They can't give up. They'll do something. They might not do enough to make it more successful than the Gamecube, but if there's one thing we can count on Nintendo to do when they're backed into a corner, it's that they'll try their damnedest to pull out all the stops and bring something new.
