What exactly do you mean by 'save'?...'save' as in, selling as much as the GameCube did?...selling more?...so far the system is on track to sell worse than the GC, but there´s still a chance it sells about the same.
Now if we´re talking about passing GC numbers, sadly I think it´s unlikely.The best thing for Nintendo right now is to find the best way to ride out this situation till the next generation, try to get at least a little profit in the end...the GC didn´t sell well, but they still made profit, however developing for the Wii U has to be far more expensive than it was for the purple box, so it might be much harder this time.
