Developers have extensive time with the consoles prior to release and know best how to optimize. If the developers say the game plays best on (insert console) at a set frame rate and resolution so be it.
I have a robust gaming PC but do tire of bouncing back and forth in the options menu and graphics card menu trying to best optimize my settings to get the most fluid gameplay, game by game.
I want my console to be simple. Start the game and play it optimized to that specific console.
