People think I am joking when I say that Microsoft is only in this industry to distract Sony from gaining ground in multimedia and from affecting the console realm. MS has only worsened the issue. Microsoft doesn't like leaving Sony with too much breathing room because they know in the gaming industry that Sony is a dominant force.

I would have agreed with you back when they released Xbox and Xbox 360 however it is evident now that MS has bigger competitors, I mean BIGGER competitors in the fields that was 'threatened' by Sony back in early 2000s. Therefore we can conclude that MS only stayed in the console market no longer because they wanted to distract Sony but instead for the fact that Xbox actually became successful to a point where it was profitable. With the careful exception of XO ofcourse.

Microsoft's actions with the launch and reveal are evident that they are still breathing down Sony's neck. I agree that they have their own agenda, but the original goal still stands true.
