Looking at the build a stage for Smash brother they may have track pieces where you "snap" them together to make a course, much like the old race track kits of old. (Don't know if they sell them anymore..)

There better be tools to deform or customise the section. Deciding which order predetermined 5-second chunks of track will be in is not truly custom.

Since the gimmick for this game is F-Zero loops, I would expect to be able to build crazier ones than the official courses.
