For those looking for a good class set up, here's one of mine if you're interested. It requires a couple max level classes, so will add another with level 9 and below.
Party build
-Dark Knight with Piracy, BP Recovery, Two Handed, Gloom, P Attack 20% Up.
-Valkyrie with Commerce, BP Recovery, Two Handed, BP Recovery, P Attack 30% Up
-Salve Maker with B/W Magic, BP Recovery, Phantom Weapon, Black Magic Amp
-Red Mage with Sing, BP Recovery, Status Ailment Amp, and Group Cast All.
How it works.
The red mage is the best part about this class. You might be asking why I chose a red mage with sing, and it's not for its support ability, it's because red mage has lower speed. I wanted atleast four points of agility between the two melee characters so the red mage goes third. Make sure the salve maker goes last for the best result.
Will get back to the red mage. On this build you can go all out every turn. For the dark knight, use rage and minus strike the first turn. It'll put you at -4bp. For the Valkyrie, use Judgment and attack, will put you at -4bp. Have the salve maker brave once and use cura and salve maker ability to use an antidote on your entire party. That's the reason salve maker needs to go last. With the phantom weapon skill and your most powerful axe plus black magic amp, the salve maker can take off a lot of damage with black magic so that's available too.
The red mage will brave x 4, cast poison your entire party three times and whichever buff you prefer. It'll increase the dark knight and acrobat skills to 2 which will go up to 3 at the end of the turn, and the salve maker to 3, which will end up with 1 at the end of the turn. You could always use poison twice then poisona and esuna if you want to, or buff twice and let the salve maker use antidote on everyone.
BP recovery makes all status ailments increase your characters BP by two, so as long as you know you can take the damage, you can do full damage every turn.
If your dark knight happens to die because the boss goes before the salve maker, the red mage can cast revive on your entire party thanks to the group cast all skill, or your salve maker can use the resurrect skill to revive everyone at no MP cost.

A similar strategy available on chapter three.. All classes need the BP recovery skill. You'll need atleast one salve maker that goes last. Two characters need black and white magic, if you have no need for a secondary on your melee characters, give them black and white as well. Black magic would be useless this time around though as you wouldn't have phantom weapon, but poison is still available.
With this set up if you were to brave x 4 with one character and case poison on each character. It'd be 2, 2, 2, and -2. The salve maker going afterwards could cast poison on the first caster, use the antidote on all your characters, and cast poison on themself, and if the other two defaulted, it'd be 3, 3, 3, 1 after one turn.
The best melee classes by that time are knight with two swords, monk, ninja at the end of chapter three, and valkyrie for randoms so you've got a good choice of classes. Pirate's have lower hit percentage, but it's a good secondary skill to debuff the enemy early on. You don't get torrent until level 13, but best attack of theirs in my opinion. .
