I'm not sure if you can actually compare that to the whole Dan situation. Talking to people, helping with paperwork is a lot easier to do than to make Nintendo invest millions into servers, systems, applications etc.

I'm pretty sure that get development kits for free, develop nintendo web framework, unity licenses for developers and pay developer even when their games are not successfull day one cost a lot of money.

Just put them on the rigth tracks, even if they don't invest millions like microsoft, just a litle more to store the games each costumer have on their nintendo id is areadly something on the rigth direction. Even make possible change the region will not take millions. some things that we want are really cheap.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
