The numbers are not as bad as some would like you to think. The industry was bloated last time and now we're back to the 5th or 6th generation level of sales. And at the end it doesn't matter how much a console sells, as long as the manufacturer makes a profit. If the market has no place anymore for a 100mio selling console, then so be it.
And 3DS is criminally overtracked. Last month it failed to sell more than 100k in the US and now we're supposed to belive it sold almost half that amount in 1 week!! Rright...
