The consumer wins at the contrary, because he doesnt have to own 3 consoles to get most of the games and better optimised games,  just one main console is enough, and if he wants 3 consoles, he'll get more exclusives because microsoft will have to make their own exclusives instead of buying them, win win situation for gamers.

It's better for the industry, the cost of developing 3-4 versions of a game on different hardwares ( thanks esram and less powerful console) )is too high.

How old are you?

He could be 16 months old (which wouuld be amazing btw) and he would still be right. Maybe you should argue his points if you disagree instead of just attacking him. That would the mature, adult thing to do.
