It's far from selling well and this week just showed that's it's doing half decent. Just because one image looks better than the other doesn't mean that it will end up doing well. Sony still hasn't made the image yet for the PS4. It will only be until a year that it really starts to get a picture in the consumers eyes. 

The average consumer isn't checking historical console sales data. They are going to see that the PS4 is outselling it's two main rivals by a large margin. Out of the current crop of consoles the PS4 is possibly the only one that doesn't need to worry about it's image.

Actually it does need to worry about it's image ... Just because your at the top spot doesn't mean your out of the rat race just yet ...

All system doing bad =/= PS4 doing amazing
