I didn't intend for this to turn into a clusterf#@ of logic and semantics, although I should have know better trying to post anything with a modicum of deference towards the Xbox One on this site.

I did write the OP after reading the article Vitro points out.

And I can certainly understand the opinion that the Kinect is a peripheral.

I just simply don't agree. I think it devalues what Microsoft is trying to do and furthermore, I appreciate their attempt at doing things a little differently.
I don't mind the xtra $100 because I see the benefits there.
Others don't... no worries either way.

@bolded, that really isnt whats happening here.

I think giving us some context as to what you were responding to would have been good enough. A link to the article etc. Although that wouldnt have changed certain peoples posts.

Its funny because i actually agree that Kinect should be bundled with X1. Yet you think im here to argue with you just because you are aparently pro Kinect

Shinobi I've been coming to this site for years and since the last E3 when Microsoft unveiled their evil plan for video game domination to the world, posting anything positive about the xbox on here is akin to poking a lion in the face with a short stick.
As far as as context, it was unnecessary as the opinion that the Kinect is a peripheral was widely accepted long before that article was written.
I get that you believe it is and really don't have a problem accepting that. Strict definitions notwithstanding, I see it differently and don't need much to argue my side."
Like I've been saying, I see it as an alternative main controller and I'm sure there's plenty of people that agree with that.
