Seeing as the DS is a cartridge, I'm shocked you'd believe the load times are horrible. They are as bad as load times for the SNES! Now, online and DS download and play aren't instant, so if that is what was being referred to as load time, it's true, some games can take a while (Elite Beat Agents 4 player 1 catridge took about a minute to load the song). Though that varies from game to game. (Mario Kart DS took 40 seconds, and then no wait time afterwards with no other cartridges)

And Sony's games division, minus hardware, likely is still making a tidy profit. If they do lose their hardware, which I presume they won't give up too easily since formats are also a nice cash cow, and I think they really really want blue ray to win. Sony games can still sell internationally, and the PS3 isn't dead yet.
