The problem with the low sales of this is the thing it's on. It's not that platformers are over saturated, it's not that Retro made the wrong decision, it's not that DK is unpopular in Japan.

The Wii U, a badly selling console with really bad and little marketing/advertising, is the problem. It doesn't help that Japan has also been more keen on buying Handhelds compared to Home Consoles in the past few years.

And I don't know about you guys, but I didn't expect this to help the situation all that much. It would've been more helpful had their been more games released along side it, but there aren't. How well did they even market this?
