I don't think Nintendo should put something away that you will only understand if you hold it in your hands. After that the weakest console of the 8th gen with the unique Gamepad is just.... a weaker console. nothing else. I can't understand the people dislike the Gamepad so much.

Well, if you read my OP then you know that I do like it...

But the fact remains that it is currently not selling the console and is driving up the retail price, all while incurring losses for Nintendo.

Yes and I agree but I am talking about a lot people who see it this way. Nintendo just failed to do the right advertisement for the Gamepad. I think it would be like selling just one half of the console and it would look like they just want to make enough money and then do the next console. It is too late to become the best selling console of one generation but for me it would be like giving up or so.

It is unfortunate, but the reality is that Nintendo have to deal with the situation as best they can at this point.  That's why people should not look at it as Nintendo admitting defeat, but instead as Nintendo adapting and persevering.

Yes, you are right. My statement was more about my personal feeling not about rational decisions and I don't want to say that Nintendo shouldn't do this but I would prefer other ideas but maybe there will we be no oppurtunity.

I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.
