Not sure why you got this wrong idea but the DS loadtime is NOT horrible. Games load INSTANTLY
and to be honest, i was really surprised how many DS they sold in Japan.... only i bought one myself and find out there are really TONNES of great games on DS.
Me and my wife now both play our DSs a lot everyday (when we are at home) and our home consoles are all covered by dust at the moment.
Actually the only home console we touch these days is the Wii but nowhere it's getting as much attention as our DSs
