Not planning on buying any more ps3 games after dks2, however I'd like the ability to play all my old games.  I'm very hesitant to buy any used hardware bc you can never trust sellers.

Then get Dark Souls 2 for PC for now, and wait a year or two for a cheap Holiday sale. PS3 will come down in price before they discontinue it.
