Especially if you like couch multiplayer, the Wii U has a lot to offer.
Yes, the battery life of the GamePad isn't very good. They released a bigger battery, but it's pretty expensive. I got one for 20 Euros and I think it was worth it.
The colors of the GamePad screen are the most accurate with brightness at 4 and without the cord plugged in, but they're never perfect.
The Pro Controller is very good and it's battery life is excellent. It's also the best choice for Tropical Freeze.
Do you protect the GamePad? I'm using a Screen Filter and a DecalGirl Skin to prevent scratches. Those silicone protectors suck in my opinion.
