Music sales, movie ticket sales, DVD sales, etc. The list goes on. That's just not even linked holidays or religion. It's just a thing that happens. You can't even use that defense that it's a "holiday boost" in all consoles when November is Thanksgiving/Black Friday in the US and no where else. That boost would never relay to Japan. Sales are just generally better in the bottom half of the year. That doesn't mean Wii U would go from 3k sales to 30k sales like that. That's not a holiday boost or any general boost that applies to other consoles or else EVERY console that was selling well all year (X360 & PS3) would have sold 100k which they didn't. Just accept Wii U is doing well and it's not a fluke, better yet, just wait and see how consistent the sales will be going forward to further prove my point. Good software drives console sales. It's not rocket science. |
Japan Wii U Sales going forward
Jan 12th – 14,211
Jan 19th –11,307
Jan 26 - 9,039
Feb 1st - 8,445
Feb 8th – 7,807
Seems pretty consistent to me.
