the thing is how about most of other games with DLC? they are the biggest money grab companies while Nintendo games usually dont hold back and give you everything in day 1. Also nintendo games that do DLC give out some things free and/or are really cheep in price (pikmin 3 had DLC for example for just $2)

Nintendo's experiments in DLC so far have been a mixed bag, as one of Rol's most recent threads pointed out. But people around here are basically saying, "that's not bad enough, I want to be used more." It's scary how often people ask why Nintendo doesn't just make a full NFC Pokemon game. They don't seem to consider the consequence of what they're saying: That Nintendo would be selling 720+ unique figurines for a single game. If the figurines are of remotely decent quality, they'll cost a few dollars apiece at the very least. Meaning the full price of this game would be in the thousands of dollars.

"That's not a problem," too many people say, "they should only make figurines of the first 151 Pokemon and ignore the other eight bajillion that I don't care about and wouldn't buy anyway because I'm a genwunner." So, 151 figurines, for how much? $5 apiece? (That's less than Skylanders or Disney Infinity figurines, I believe). So that's only $755 for the whole game, that's completely reasonable.
