Sadly, I doubt it would be even if Sony owned the IP again. Naughty Dog has shifted focus to much more serious titles and I believe they've said that they tried to come up with ideas for a new Jak & Daxter but can never seem to nail down good ideas for it that would work today. If they can't do that then I doubt Crash Bandicoot would be any different. They'd likely contract a smaller third party studio to do it.

I'd guess either Sanzaru or Media Molecule would work on it. I don't think there's any truth to this rumor though.
