No. Also this notion of 99% of X sucks and used to better in the past has existed for who knows how long and has almost always been a sign of someone growing older and just not being able to keep up with the medium anymore or someone just wanting to go against the mainstream. Oh and nostalgia plays a big role too very often, especially with movies or games you've seen/played in your childhood.
