That's what I hoped when I learned at E3 that Retro was making this. But I'm really doubting it now that I see the immense detail put into this game. It couldn't be made by a smaller group when you see for example all those polygons... everywhere. In DKC Returns, which took three years to make, most backgrounds were just single images, but here everything is made of all those little details, models and everything.
Also it's been known for a while that David Wise, composer hired for this game, has been working with Retro on this game for years now. So unless they have grown to also have another team in-house, this is the only game we'll see from Retro for years to come.
There's just so much love put into Tropical Freeze that I couldn't imagine that they have also made another game while making this. But if I'm wrong, then Retro are legends. I wouldn't mind at all to see another game from them soon. For now, Tropical Freeze will at least take me through the Wii U drought.
