What will be the Wii U's peak sales year?

5 year life cycle, I'm counting 2012 as a year. So it's successor should be out by 2016. You believe that Nintendo will release their next console next year?

No problem, I should have probably made my prediction a bit more clear :P.

I seriously didn't see this coming for the WII U. I knew the WII U would do bad to gamecube levels but NOT THIS horrible. Now it's gonna end up selling less than 15 mil which doesn't sound good at all ... Well I guess the same applies to the vita seeing as how their both in hell.

It would have being more fair to say 4 years instead of 5 though because even if the successor launches in december 2016 it will barely be passed over the 4 years. 

Well, to be fair. We've never seen a sales trajectory like the one for wiiU. We have no clue what effect MK8 and SS4 will have on it's sales. For all we know, these 2 titles COULD maybe push it to GC levels.

But yea, no one could have predicted a 30k baseline for wiiU. ESPECIALLY coming off of the huge wii success.
