Vita vs PS3 - which will sell more starting now to their end?

I thought this was a completely ridiculous question until I realized the PS3 is nearly guaranteed another 10 million lifetime... While another 10 million for Vita would put it not too far from my initial projection of 19 million.

It's hard to say... It really depends on whether or not Sony ever intends to revive the Vita in NA, and how much price cuts will help the PS3 beyond that nearly guaranteed 10 million... Or how much PS Now ends up hurting it.

With a super optimistic outlook, I can see sales of PS3 hitting 103 lifetime, while Vita hits 26 million lifetime... A more pessimistic prediction, what I see as the baseline, has PS3 88 million, and Vita at 13.4 million.

So in that sense, I see the PS3 winning with anywhere from 1 million to 3.5 million. I didn't really realize how close total accumulated could be from here on out.
