This is not attempt to sell Wii U's. Just to keep owners active. GBA has a superb library 

Not really, a lot of it was just NES/SNES ports.  The two Metroids and Minish Cap probably the highlights.

Throw in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and you're right, a lot of ports/enhanced versions.
