I posted this already in the Zarx thread.

Anyway, I run the same resolution, so it's what I should expect in regards to how bad it would look.

Honestly, i think those textures and geometry would look like ass even at 1080p, which is pretty much the average for pc gamers these days.

Yeah, I agree.
It's pretty solid proof that despite the Source engine "hanging in there" it's really starting to show it's age.
Then again, it's also a great engine if you wan't to develop a game in a short amount of time to rake in the money.

All you need is the right market, for example if you had a platform hurting for a "defining game", and a platform holder hurting for good news and something to take the focus off of negatives, and willing to pay big money to publicise it, you could just use any old engine you've had experience with and slap something together.

As a primarilly PC gamer, i can understand why xbox one and xbox 360 fans are looking for Titanfall to be a smash hit, lord knows a decent game has been a long time coming for xbox fans now, but i think that need is being abused somewhat, the wool, as they say, is being pulled over peoples eyes.

Take away the heavy marketing, and the link to "by the team that made COD", and what you end up with would have flown under the radar.
