Honestly PS4 sales are pretty good considering any good PS4 game is available on the PS3/Xbox 360 too. ( PS3 and Xbox360 had a lot more games exclusive to their gen when they first released).
We're going to have to wait until several 8th gen exclusive games are release to be able to fully judge and compare with last gen.
I'm the first to admit I am a Playstation fan and right now I have no reason at all to upgrade to the PS4. Every game I want is on the PS3 too and Playstation+ keeps giving me good free games for my PS3 every month. Once PS+ starts being better on PS4 than PS3 and that 8th gen exclusive games start coming out we will talk again , but that is at least 6 to 8 months away....
heck just check the adds on the site, they are for games that will release on 7th gen consoles too...
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !
PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !
