| Slimebeast said: My current moniter is a 24" Samsung 1200p but I'm finking of upgrading to a 27 inch to get a bigger and better gaming experience, but firstly I'm unsure if I should buy a TN, VA or IPS panel and secondly I'm unsure about the optimal resolution since it seems all 1440p screens have much higher latency (+5ms) than 27 inch 1080p screens (1-2 ms) and I'm afraid that will hurt my competitive ability in online games. Also I'm unsure about the update frewquence of the screen (60mhz, 120mhz, 144mhz etc). What I should do? |
Any 1440p monitor will be either IPS (more likely) or VA. That's where the latency comes from, not from the resolution.
And in my opinion, those little extra ms won't be enough to bother you, but the better and richer colours of the panels will make the games more vivid.
Please excuse my bad English.
