Still a better launch than the Vita / 3DS / Wii U.
Assassin's Creed IV is worth the purchase of either of the more expensive consoles alone, Tomb Raider as well if you skipped it originally, and NFS: Rivals is a surprising amount of fun.
Of course, I've been playing all three on PC so I'm good on skipping the consoles for a while, but I definitely get why it's in demand. I owned a Wii U for a while, the games were okay but surprisingly little has changed in the first party titles from their previous iterations, 3rd party titles were pretty terrible on it as well.
