I think Year of Yoshi will be a thing. I could see it going something like this

March-Yoshi's New Island+special edition Yoshi 3DS

June-Super Yoshi 3D World DLC

September-Yarn Yoshi

December-Yoshi's Cookie Eshop game for 3DS & Wii U

Plus obviously appearing in Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Mario Golf.

Can we get Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Story instead.  I hate Yoshi's Cookie so much.
