As much as I love Xbox Live and the original Xbox, this really isn't a fair contest. The Wii U has a whole home interface that works fantastically, numerous ways to communicate/interact with friends, and a very well designed online shop. Things that just weren't there, or not designed well on the original Xbox.
I understand the purpose of this thread as into shame the Wii U's online system. Yes compared to the competition it is behind, but as someone who has been an Xlive member for 9 years and gone through the progression, the upgrades attached with that time which Wii U has adopted definitely puts it above the original Xbox's online system.
