Like, the other day, when my friend was complaining and I said "I love this. He didn't take any offense, he actually laughed and apologized and then we played vidya for a few hours and had fun.

You said that wasn't mockery, so the only explanation is that abrasiveness is just your style and not something personal. I was raised the same way, me and my friends just talk shit out of habit. It doesn't mean anything. I'm much mroe comfortable speaking like that...I think me and one other person in this forum do it, I just can't remember who it is. I greatly prefer those kinds of relationships.
