There are two main reasons (which actually tie into one main reason) as to why I believe it's doing so well.
The first is that there is mad hype around the machine so it's selling crazy because of that and the second is it's been so long since the last console release that there are more people that want to jump and purchase it right away because they've been anticipating next gen gaming for a while now.
